In 2002, Leatherman Tools introduced the Juice and Squirt series of tools, their first tools with colored aluminum handles. Meanwhile, the 2002 version of the Leatherman PST kept the same tools as the 2001 version. It has a clip point blade, tapered screwdrivers, and a "beefy" hinge. However, Leatherman Tool Group lost a lawsuit in California, brought on because some parts were manufactured outside the US, despite the USA label on the pliers pivot. As a result, PSTs produced late in the year replaced USA with Tool. The new "Leatherman Tool" PSTs then continued unchanged into 2003 and 2004.
